ICSOS 2023

News and Announcements

Welcome

Welcome to the 9th edition of the International Conference on Space Optical Systems and Applications (2023 IEEE ICSOS)!

We are excited to announce that this year's conference will be held in the beautiful city of Vancouver, Canada. IEEE ICSOS is a platform that covers various technologies, procedures, and algorithms related to free-space laser communications in terrestrial, near-Earth and deep-space applications. Our areas of interest include subsystems, devices, components, laboratory and field demonstrations, signaling techniques, algorithms, link models, systems (flight and ground), and concept of operations.

IEEE ICSOS is held biennially and alternates its venue every second year between the US and Japan. It is also associated with the SPIE International Conference on Space Optics (IEEE ICSO) that takes place in Europe in the even years in between. We are dedicated to providing a space where researchers, engineers, and industry professionals can come together to discuss and present their innovative work in this fascinating field.

Submitted papers will be reviewed and selected for presentation at the conference. We are looking forward to receiving original papers on the topic of free-space optical communications, and we encourage everyone to participate in this exciting event. We hope to see you there!
